Welcome to Rookery Cottage Cattery
Rookery Cottage Cattery is a friendly, cat loving family run luxury boarding cattery, set in open countryside on the South Cheshire/North Shropshire border. We are the first cattery in the Crewe and Nantwich area to become listed with the feline advisory bureau. The FAB is a leading charity dedicated to promoting the health and well being of cats. There are fewer than 200 catteries that meet the high standards. We are open all year round and are happy to receive visitors during office hours, or at other times with prior arrangements.
Care & Attention
In addition to long experience of caring for our own cats, We have been FAB (Feline Advisory Bureau) trained and approved in cattery management and have also attended a cat first aid course. We will make every effort to ensure your cats receive the care and attention necessary for their comfort and wellbeing during their stay. The cattery is staffed 24 hours a day.
Cattery Accommodation
Rookery Cottage Cattery is newly built to FAB standards. We currently have twelve chalets and an isolation unit, each insulated and with thermostatically controlled heating, to provide a comfortable temperature for your cats stay with us. Each chalet has its own run allowing plenty of fresh air and there is also a security corridor running the length of the units for the safety of your cat. The security corridor is equipped with clear perspex removable outside panels. These ensure your cat is warm and protected from the elements during cold weather,but can be removed when the weather is warmer. The cattery is also fitted with radio smoke alarms that link to the properties house ensuring 24hr cover. Within the chalets the cats can see each other but not come into contact with each other. Beds, bedding, scratching posts, sit stools and toys are provided, but a familiar blanket or toy from home would be welcome. Two cats from one household can be accommodated in our standard units and our family units will comfortably house up to four cats.
Cattery Boarding Conditions
All cats will be checked on arrival. To protect all our guests we reserve the right to refuse admission to any cat suffering from or suspected to be suffering from any infectious or contagious disease, pending advice from a veterinary surgeon.
